The EWTM module is a low power, ultra long period timer with watchdog feature. It is designed for IoT battery powered applications with long interval duty cycle. It can be implemented as an external reset timer with watchdog function or as system wakeup timer which allows the microcontroller to be placed in ultra low power mode.
The EWTM module features configurable watchdog window. The maximum time interval can be set to up to 24 hours.
Four different time intervals are pre-programmed and can be set by binary combination of 2 pins. For convenience option-select resistors are provided on the PCB (R2 and R3). The configuration is applied after power on and remains unchanged no matter the state of the pins until the next power cycle.
EWTM module can be used for monitoring proper operation of remote IoT systems that transmit data on long time intervals and remote or in-place restart is difficult or impossible.
The PCB is small and flexible. For large scale production EWTM is currently available in a 6-pin SOT-23 chip.

EWTM-01 generates reset signal by pulling RESET pin to low for TRESET interval if the clear pulse is too short TCLRWDT < TCLRWDT(min) or it is too long TCLRWDT > TCLRWDT(max). In the first case it is assumed that there is some accidental glitch in the system and it needs reset while in the second case it is assumed that there is system hang and the pin is set high forever.

You can always withdraw your payment before the production data (15 July 2019), no questions asked. Once we enter production, no refund will be possible.

* For orders with qty ≥ 20 the modules/chips combinations of 3.3V and 5.0V can be ordered. After your order, we will contact you to specify the number of 3.3V and 5.0V items.
** For orders with qty ≥ 100 the modules/chips can be programmed with custom watchdog time intervals.
